Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan Island
Southeast of Bali, just 20km off the shore of Sanur, you can explore the “Nusa Islands”: Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida. All three islands are part of Bali’s Klungkung region. Each of this amazingly beautiful island has many things to offer. Beautiful beaches with a bunch of favourite activities, spectacular dive sites and snorkelling, awesome landscape and nature, along with relaxing yet challenging trekking paths, hidden historical sites that have many stories to tell and remain sacred for Balinese even until today. Last but not least the sunset is always magical and definitely the best way to end the day.
These three islands are becoming more and more popular among visitors from all over the world for these very good reasons. It’s a bit like Bali must have been 30 years ago, yet with all the comfort AC and the internet have brought to us. The marine life offers some of the most spectacular dive sites in the entire region. While Lembongan is the most developed and offers the widest choice of accommodation and restaurants, the other two islands are quickly catching up.

Nusa Lembongan is a busy small island with some beaches and other beautiful natural attractions. Hotels, beach clubs, and bars are also easy to find here. Located in right-off southeast coast Bali main island, this island is very famous with scuba and snorkeling activity, with the help from the professional and certified instructor you will discover unbelievably beautiful spots at the floor of the ocean.
You can reach Nusa Lembongan directly from Sanur or simply using local boat when you want to squeeze your holiday time during your visit to Nusa Penida. Some tour packages include pick up and drop-off facilities which help you to get into the Sanur from your hotel and back to your hotel from the harbor without any extra charge.
Nusa Ceningan is a small island located between Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, which well known for its beauty of blue lagoon and the seaweed cultivation. One day is enough for you to explore the island, but if you want to sleep over many interesting hotels and place to sleep are also easy to find on the island.
To get into Nusa Ceningan, you can just simply go cross the yellow suspension bridge from the southwest side of Nusa Lembongan, motorbike also allowed to go across this bridge. From Sanur you can also go directly to Nusa Ceningan and it will take only 40 minutes to reach the island using fast boats.
